About Us

SOUTH FLORIDA AUDUBON SOCIETY (SFAS) is one of the 44 chapters of Audubon Florida and National Audubon Society, Inc.  We provide a wide range of services to members and the general public including:

South Florida Audubon Society (SFAS) formerly was known as the Broward County Audubon Society.  Because of its growth and regional outreach, a change of name and logo was made in 2008.

to help us protect the environment.

Volunteers are needed to serve on the board and/or committees.  If you have an interest in any of the following, please let us know:  

(1) Birdwatching and expeditions,
(2) Preservation of wildlife and habitat,
(3) Land conservation,
(4) Water quality,
(5) Everglades restoration,
(6) Fundraising and Finance,
(7) Press releases and Public Service Announcements,
(8) Social media skills and website administration, or
(9) Membership and enrollment.
