Schools & Groups

Bring students, families, clubs, and community teams into hands-on environmental learning with SFAS.

SFAS welcomes schools, youth organizations, scouts, clubs, corporate teams, and community groups interested in birds, habitats, conservation, and service. Programs can be connected to Sunny Lake Bird Sanctuary, restoration projects, birding, community science, or volunteer activities.

Ways to Participate

Birding, habitat, native plants, community science, and environmental education can support classroom learning and outdoor exploration.

Corporate Volunteer Days

Employee teams can participate in habitat restoration, dune planting, stewardship, and other service projects based on current opportunities.

Planning a Group Experience

Program availability depends on season, group size, site conditions, volunteer leadership, and the type of activity. Tell us who your group is, approximately how many people will participate, preferred dates, age range, accessibility needs, and what you hope to learn or accomplish.

Accessibility & Inclusion

We want conservation opportunities to be welcoming and practical. When contacting SFAS, please share mobility, sensory, transportation, scheduling, or other access needs so we can discuss an appropriate program or site.
