A nest, a community, a conservation history

BO-002: Then, Conservation & Now

See how a nest observation record became a long-term community conservation archive.

Then

Early BO-002 records document active nesting, named eaglets, public interest and concerns about a hazardous urban location. The 2009–2010 record includes Lucky, Chance and Courage.

Conservation

The historical collection preserves Eagle Sanctuary Steering Committee records, FDOT and road-construction material, FWC guidance, nest-camera work, local-government records and public education efforts.

Now

SFAS is preserving the Rosyfinch/forum collection as a searchable public archive, connecting nests, eagles, breeding seasons, observations, photographs and conservation documents.

Visual comparison is expanding: dated archive photographs will be paired with verified present-day images as their dates, photographers and source relationships are confirmed.
