Report an Eagle Observation

Help continue South Florida’s Bald Eagle record. New reports will be reviewed before they appear publicly.

What to Report

Adult or eaglet activity, nest building, incubation, feeding, fledging, notable behavior, disturbance concerns or a possible new nest.

Review Before Publishing

Submissions will be stored for review first. Approved reports can then appear in Current Nest Activity and the observation database.

Observation Form Fields

  • Observer name and contact information
  • Observation date and time
  • Known nest or general location
  • Adult and eaglet counts
  • Observation notes
  • Photographs and photographer credit
  • Permission for SFAS to display submitted photographs
  • Optional permission for follow-up contact

The submission form itself is being configured; this page will become the public entry point once the review workflow is ready.

Nest protection: precise coordinates for sensitive or newly reported nests will not automatically be displayed publicly. Generalized location information can be used when needed to protect birds.

Send an Observation Now

The full moderated photo-upload form is being configured. Until it is ready, observations and photographs can be sent directly to the SFAS Eagle Watch review address. Include the date/time, general location or known nest, adult/eaglet counts, observation notes, your name, and photographer credit.
