South Florida Bald Eagle Watch · Nest histories

Broward County Bald Eagle Nests

Explore historical Bald Eagle nesting records from Pembroke Pines, Quiet Waters / Deerfield BO-003 and Davie. Each nest history connects the preserved community observations with breeding seasons, individual eagles and photographs as those records are verified.

South Florida Audubon Society is based in Broward County, so these Broward nest collections are the core of this historical project. The original forum also documented South Miramar DA-005 and North Miami; those records are preserved separately below, without inferring county jurisdiction from nest identifiers.

How to read the counts: “Captured topics” means discussion topics recovered from the original forum, not a count of nests, breeding attempts or individual eagle sightings.

Pembroke Pines BO-002

1,414 captured forum topics

The central long-running nest history, documented across breeding-season collections beginning in 2009–2010. The archive includes reports of adults, eggs, eaglets, fledging, behavior, disturbances and conservation issues.

Early eaglets include Lucky, Chance, Courage, P Piney 7, P Piney 8 and P Piney 9.

Broward County nest collection

Quiet Waters / Deerfield BO-003

296 captured forum topics

A substantial community record of eagle activity associated with the Quiet Waters and Deerfield area, including dated reports, nesting observations, photographs and accounts from local observers.

The historical forum includes a December 2014 report of an adult brooding eggs.

Broward County nest collection

Davie BO-004

7 captured forum topics

A smaller collection of Davie-area BO-004 observation and photo topics. These records remain important for documenting additional nesting activity in Broward County.

The seven captured topics are not a complete census of all nesting activity in Davie.

Additional original Nabble nest collections

These additional original-forum collections are preserved alongside the primary nest profiles. South Miramar is included in the four named Nabble nest sections; North Miami is maintained as a separate regional collection.
